No, we’re not joking, it’s the MeCCSA Comedy Night!

Following the drinks reception on the first evening of the conference (Wednesday 10 January), we have a comedy night from 8pm in the Edric Theatre, London South Bank University, featuring:

Writer, comedian and actor Jessica Fostekew. The regular host of BBC R4 Extra’s The Comedy Club, Jessica’s recent writing credits include Have I Got News For You (BBC 1), Jason Manford’s Funny Old Week (ITV 1), 8 out of 10 Cats (C4), and Mock The Week (BBC 2).



Erich McElroy, a stand-up comedian and writer, originally from Seattle. In addition to playing venues up and down the country, Erich has appeared on BBC Breakfast, Newsnight, Sky News and Five News talking comedy and politics, and has also written for the Independent, Huffington Post, The Herald in Scotland and even Saga.



Award winning live comedian Leo Kearse, co-creator of the hit show Hate ‘n’ Live, which has comedians ‘hating on’ topics suggested by the audience. Leo writes for several comedians and websites and is also a regular copresenter on TalkSPORT Extra Time and Fubar Radio’s Mark Dolan Eats The News.



This event follows on from the Politics and Comedy Roundtable, on Wednesday afternoon. Tickets for the comedy night are sold separately (on the final checkout page of the conference Registration site), and have to be purchased in advance.
